The arrests were the first in the killing of Laxmanananda Saraswati in August, a Hindu proselytiser linked with India"s main Hindu-nationalist opposition party. The murder unleashed a wave of retaliatory attacks by Hindus on Christians in the rural Kandhamal district of Orissa — leaving at least 35 people dead — that has been a zone of Christian missionary activities for decades. “We have arrested two people," Arun Kumar Ray, inspector general of police, told Reuters, adding that those held were Christians. A police officer said the two had links with the Maoist rebels. Ray said a third person had been also detained. The violence against Christians in Orissa was followed by similar attacks in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. Hindu nationalists either share power or rule outright in all the three states. Despite posting thousands of policemen, violence has continued, especially in Kandhamal where thousands of Christians now live in government camps because their homes are destroyed or they are too fearful to return. Police have arrested about 1000 people, mostly Hindus, in connection with the attacks in Orissa. Hindu groups deny their involvement in the violence, which have been condemned by Pope Benedict. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called it a “national shame". Now, slowly the truth is coming out. However, note the attitude of the reporting mannerism of the media in their own way of suppressing the facts: 3 arrested in Laxmanananda murder case 3 held in Lakshmanananda case 3 Maoist-trained men arrested for VHP leader’s killing When the headlines have been like this, inside news says as folows: Three members of a Maoist-trained “militia” group, two of them Christians / two of them Christians, were arrested on Monday in connection with the killing of VHP leader Swami Laxmananda Saraswati in Orissa’s riot-torn Kandhamal district. This was the first arrest in connection with the killing which took place 42 days ago, sparking an orgy of communal violence in the district. But, what happened to the arrest of two / three Christians on 23rd Augusrt, 2008? “All the three persons arrested have confessed to the crime”, said crime branch inspector P K Patnaik who was instrumental in the arrest of the three youths in the age group of 30 to 32 years. At that time also, it was reported like that. Why then the poice should have taken much time to find out the murderers? Was there any international pressure? Pope"s intervention? Indians have every right to know the facts. http://brahmallahchrist.indiainteracts.com/2008/09/11/sketches-of-suspects-of-swami-lakshmanananda-murder-released/ http://brahmallahchrist.indiainteracts.com/2008/09/08/christians-involvement-in-the-murder-maoist-expose/ http://brahmallahchrist.indiainteracts.com/2008/08/30/christians-have-launched-propagandist-war-of-lies-slander-and-libel-on-hindus-through-media-who-killed-swami-lakshmananda-saraswati-%e2%80%93-christian-militants-or-maoists-actually-when-the-christian/ http://brahmallahchrist.indiainteracts.com/2008/08/25/three-christians-arrested-for-the-murder-swami-laxmanananda-saraswati/ Three Christians arrested for the murder Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati The following news proves the Christian involvement: “The Daily Pioneer” now reports about the arrest of three Christians for the killing of a Hindu Sanyasi of 85 years old. “The police have arrested Pradesh Kumar Das, an employee of the World Vision, a Christian Charity, from Khadagpur while escaping from the district at Buguda. In another drive, two other persons Vikram Digal and William Digal have been arrested from the house of Lal Digal, a local militant Christian, from Nuasahi at Gunjibadi, Nuagaan. They have admitted to having joined a group of 28 other assailants.” On August 23, 2008 itself, three Christians were arrested, but with the mounting international pressure, definitely, the Orissa Police had to downplay the arrests. Now also, the highly reputed national dailies give the facts differently: Two Christians arrested! Three arrested and so on! It has already been pointed out that it is irrelevant that the Maoists are Christians or Christians are Maoists, but the fact is the murderers have been Christians only, but the national and international media tries to misdinterpret the facts. Note the shameless TV channels and media: one day they that Maoists accept their role in killing of the Swamiji! Sopme other day, they declare that the Maoists denied their involvement!! Again on another day, the news would be flashed that the Maoists confessed that they only killed Swami Laxamanananda Saraswati!!! And the NDTV, IBN-CNN, BBC, NYT etc, openly and go on on report that the Maoists killed Laxmanananba, a RSS activist, VHP leader, Hindu radical leader and so on, without even whispering that the Maoists are Christians! What type of journalist or media ethics, it has been? Why suppress the truth and facts? . |

Kandhamal, October 6 In a major breakthrough, Orissa’s Criminal Investigation Department on Monday arrested three Christian tribals from Baliguda block in connection with the August 23 murders of VHP leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and four others at Jalespeta ashram in Kandhamal district. The arrested persons have been identified as Duryodhan Sunamajhi, Munda Badamajhi and Sanatana Badamajhi.
A senior CID official who arrested the trio told The Indian Express on condition of anonymity that two single-barrel muzzle-loader guns and a shirt which could have been used as a mask were also recovered from them. They have been forwarded to a court in Baliguda.
The CID, which is being assisted by the state’s anti-Naxal police force, has found that about seven to eight Maoist hardliners were involved in the murders, while the others who accompanied them were trained in the use of firearms by the rebels. “Some other people lead the group to the ashram and were armed with sharp weapons,” added the official.
The arrests came two days after Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda admitted to a group of mediapersons that Maoist groups in Orissa derived major support from minority communities. During his interview in the forests of Daringibadi block, Panda also claimed that there was pressure from both Christians and Dalits to kill Saraswati. “It is a fact that Christians form the majority in our organisation. Our supporters in Rayagada, Gajapati and Kandhamal also belonged to the Christian community,” he said.

3 held in Lakshmanananda case Prafulla Das
The Hindu dated Tuesday, Oct 07, 2008
http://www.hindu.com/2008/10/07/stories/2008100757870100.htm
BHUBANES WAR: The Orissa police on Monday arrested three people for their alleged involvement in the killing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Swami Lakshmanananda.
Duryodhan Sunamajhi, Munda Badamajhi and Sanatan Badamajhi, arrested from the Tumudibandha area of riot-hit Kandhamal district, were active members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist). Two guns, masks and black dresses were recovered from them, the new Director-General of Police Manmohan Praharaj told The Hindu over telephone.
Mr. Praharaj, who did not comment on the religious identity of the three, said more arrests were likely in the case.
Soon after Lakshmanananda was killed, by about 40 armed men at his ashram at Jalespata in Kandhamal on August 23, the then DGP Gopal Chandra Nanda said the crime was committed by suspected Maoists. However, confusion was created after leaders of the VHP and the Bajrang Dal claimed that militant Christians had killed the Swami.
Attacks on the houses of Christians were reported from the neighbouring Kalahandi district. The houses were burnt down in Sukuli village in Kalahandi early in the day.

3 Maoist-trained men arrested for VHP leader’s killing
Three members of a Maoist-trained “militia” group, two of them Christians, were arrested on Monday in connection with the killing of VHP leader Swami Laxmananda Saraswati in Orissa’s riot-torn Kandhamal district.
This was the first arrest in connection with the killing which took place 42 days ago, sparking an orgy of communal violence in the district.
The Crime Branch of Orissa police seized two guns from the trio, police said.
“The three persons were arrested by the special investigating team (SIT) formed to nab the culprits”, Orissa’s Director General of Police Manmohan Praharaj told PTI adding the arrested were taken to the police custody.
“All the three persons arrested have confessed to the crime”, said crime branch inspector P K Patnaik who was instrumental in the arrest of the three youths in the age group of 30 to 32 years.
The trio, identified as Duryodhan Sunamajhi, Mundabeda Majhi and Sanatan Majhi of Kotgarh area, were produced before the sub-divisional judicial magistrate’s (SDJM) court at Baliguda in Kandhamal district and remanded to police custody for seven days.
Besides two SVML guns, the police have seized two black masks and four black shirts used during the crime, the official said adding the police possessed evidences to prove the charges.
They were picked up from Baliguda police station area on the basis of specific intelligence inputs, said a member of the SIT adding that more persons were likely to be booked soon.
According to the Inspector General (IG) of Police, Crime Branch, Arun Ray, the trio belonged to the 150-strong militia group formed by Maoists to execute the killing.
“Though they were not part of the Maoist cadre, the milita group including the three, were imparted training in fire arms and execute the crime,” Ray told PTI while declining to specify religion of the trio.
However, sources in the crime branch claimed two of the three persons arrested today were Christians.
Giving details of execution of the killing, Ray said the Maoists had formed a 150-member group comprising local tribals and Dalits to eliminate the VHP leader who was opposed to conversion and cow slaughter in particular.
While police was probing the Christian angle into the murder, Ray said they could come to a conclusion on the matter only after collecting evidences based on the information provided by the three arrested youths.
Besides Laxamananda, the killers had on August 23 evening gunned down sanyasini Mata Bhaktimayee, Baba Amritananda, Kishore Baba and Puranjan Ganthi, a guardian of an inmate of the Kanyashram at Jalespeta in kandhamal district.
The communal and ethnic violence in Kandhamal has so far claimed 35 lives and several houses, churches and places of worship were vandalized.

They would simply say that they are not christians.
The Maoists have been christians, but they say that they are no longer with their church.
They may even claim that they are not catholics, in the sense that they belong to non-catholic christioans like protesnts etc.
See, now all the shouting bishops “crying wolves” would bev setting up their filthy mouths and keep quite.
Even, note that John Dayal, Mahesh Bhatt, Javed Akthar, Abraham Mathai, etc. have gone underground!
Of course, then and there, they appear in ND-TV only!

Maoists have been virtually tools of Churches.
Their Claims were not found to be True.
When Investigations were in advanced stage, they APPEAR IN TVs to distort the attempt to get the REAL KILLERS.
These MAOISTS have all Sophisticated ARMS-? How? Must Be Thanks to CHURCHES?
- And High Positioned Bishops have Threatened 84 YEAR OLD -SWAMIJI who was doing the Most Social Work for Tribal and Educating them.
Maoist must be for Educating Tribals.
Churches want Sheep for Conversion, and Swamiji-84 year old man who was working for TRIBALS eliminated.

The biggest funny thing is that when any group claims that “we are the killers” and posing photographs and gives interviews to national TV-channels, how is that they are not nabbed immediately, instead of allowing them for shooting casually?
What is hapening in India?
The killers would be going on declare before TV-channels that “we are the killers”, “we are the killers” and so on and all would be enjoying te joke!
Then, can we say that the nun would be going on declaring that she was gang-raped, but the rapists would be hiding, but she would be before TV-channels making such declarations!
However, CBI would be searching her here and there!
What nonsense is it?
How these people make us to believe such stuff?
“Catch me if you can” - thus the nun and the killers are on te run!!!

Police take aid of paramilitary forces in tracking accused persons
Crime Branch arrested three suspected Maoists in October
BHUBANESWAR: The Crime Branch of Orissa police on Sunday arrested four persons in connection with the murder of Viswha Hindu Parishad leader Lakshmanananda Saraswati.
The four who were arrested from Kotgarh area of Kandhamal district include a hardcore Maoist, and the remaining three were Maoist sympathisers, State Director General of Police Manmohan Praharaj told The Hindu.
The Crime Branch sleuths were also questioning another 16 persons who were detained in the case.
These people hailed from Kotgarh locality and Chandrapur area of neighbouring Rayagada district.
The police were taking the help of Central paramilitary forces in tracking the accused persons in difficult forest terrains of Kandhamal and Rayagada.
The arrest of the four accused comes a day before the deadline given by the Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati Shradhanjali Samiti, an outfit of the Sangh Parivar.
The Samiti had announced last month if the State government fails to arrest the killers of Lakshmanananda by December 15, it would observe a bandh across the State on December 25.
The Crime Branch arrested three suspected Maoists in the case in the first week of October.
The Branch is now planning to file a charge sheet in the court shortly, while keeping the investigation open.
The VHP leader was killed by a group of armed men, suspected to be Maoists, at the Jalespata ashram under Tumudibandha area of Kandhamal on August 23.
